AAF-Akron and NSME hosted their sixth annual Merry Mingle on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Waterloo Restaurant & Catering. This year, Merry Mingle coincided with GivingTuesday—a global day of giving where people all over the world come together to support their favorite nonprofits.
Almost 50 people attended the one-of-a-kind holiday social to network with members of the Greater Akron marketing community, as well as support a local non-profit organization. This year, all event proceeds benefited the Susan B. Kosich Charitable Fund – whose mission is to build a scholarship for Northeast Ohio college students pursuing a communications-related field.
The event, dubbed “Giving Sue’s Day,” resulted in $1,860 in donations. The Fund is now up to $11,815.
Those who couldn’t attend and want to support the fund, can give online. All donations are tax deductible.
