Badass Women in Design & Advertising

Welcome to the Real World

In partnership with Kent State University School of Visual Communication Design

Hey students! The real world is coming faster than you think. Are you ready? Here’s your opportunity to learn from young professionals who work in the industry.

Meet our young pros:

Megan Cash
is a graphic design and illustration professional with a passion for visual communications and storytelling. With over 10 years of experience working in agency, corporate in-house and freelance positions, she brings a unique set of skills to every project and opportunity that comes her way. Currently, she holds a full-time design position with the J.M. Smucker Company while also managing her portfolio of illustration work, which can be found on greeting cards and stationery at Target, TJ Maxx, World Market and through various online retailers. She currently resides in Canton, OH with her husband Evan, son Miles and is expecting a baby girl in April 2023.

Lauren Green
is a Typo-Graphic Designer and researcher specializing in Type Design and Environmental Graphics. She is in her final semester of grad school at Kent State University, pursuing a MFA degree. As the lead Graphic Designer with Ideastream Public Media, she has transformed their perceptions and value of design and has built an established creative department from the ground up. “There’s something beautiful about typography that other facets of design don’t consider; it’s a hidden craft you don’t notice until it’s done incorrectly. Letterforms flow into every part of design, whether that be for the public eye or created for other designers; type is always at its core.”

In 2021, she became an intern at Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Co (HOFREco). where she continues her work today as a Content Coordinator. Since starting her journey at HOFREco, she has had the opportunity to work on large scale and community events, photograph the USFL championships, as well as Trace Adkins, Journey, Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement week festivities, the Ojay’s and Gladys Knight plus countless and more events.
