AAF-Akron is pleased to announce that it received national awards at ADMERICA – the American Advertising Federation’s national conference – on June 1 at the Salute to Achievers Breakfast in Salt Lake City, UT.

Executive Director Cecilia Sveda is the 2024 recipient of the Betty Riehl Excellence in Service Award.
“Betty Riehl was respected for her dedication, her skills, grace, humor and caring nature throughout her career at the AAF. I’m honored and humbled to receive this award in her name. But this award isn’t all about me. It’s about the many tireless volunteers, present and past, who keep AAF-Akron running. They are the soul of AAF. My heartfelt appreciation for their gift of service and passion! I proudly share this award with my Akron family,” said Sveda.
AAF-Akron Wins Two Club Achievement Awards
AAF’s Club Achievement competition was established to honor the significant contributions of the AAF network of professional advertising clubs.
In Division 4, AAF-Akron received the following Club Achievement Awards:
• Second place in Cornerstone Initiatives & Events
• Third place in Public Service
AAF-Akron’s Board Chair Brianna Kelly accepted the award on behalf of the chapter. This is the ninth consecutive year that AAF-Akron has placed in the competition.
